On-Site PC/Network Technician

We are a small, fast growing computer consulting company where caring for our clients and showing a true interest in resolving their needs is our primary concern. We are looking for a tech-head who loves developing relationships with people.

MINIMUM REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

This position requires the following experience:

  • Minimum 1 year hands-on hardware and computer support experience servicing PCs (MAC’s a plus)
  • Demonstrated skill in supporting, and troubleshooting networking issues including firewalls, VPN connectivity, DNS configuration, and port routing/forwarding (Cisco a plus)
  • Domain management experience including:
    1. Adding & Deleting users
    2. Checking Event logs & troubleshooting minor issues
    3. Applying updates & patches
    4. Sharing printers, folders, setting permissions & security
  • Server Administration experience (i.e. Group Policy, Login Scripts, etc.)
  • Experience in searching for and removing malware
  • Experience supporting Office 2000, XP & 2003
  • Internet setup & troubleshooting (cable, dsl, wireless,etc.)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and come up with creative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to network with others with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Motivated self-starter that doesn't mind working under pressure
  • Ability to take an on-call shift for one week per month

General responsibilities include:

  • Supports other technicians with issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair PCs (MAC a plus), networks and servers at client locations
  • Maintain timely, clear and accurate communication with clients and coworkers
  • Provide positive and reassuring customer service
  • Proactively think "Outside the box" when troubleshooting and take initiative in researching solutions
  • Make recommendations that are in the best interest of the client
  • Participate in business networking activities
  • Demonstrate Escape Key values of honesty, commitment and integrity
